WIIS - West
WIIS-West Mission Statement
Women in International Security (WIIS)-West brings the ideals of WIIS--increasing the influence of women in foreign and defense affairs by raising their numbers and visibility, while enhancing dialogue on international security issues--to the Western Coast of the United States. WIIS-West promotes the study and awareness of security issues by building a network of partnerships among universities and professional organizations throughout the West Coast. The Chapter was established in 2005 by National Security Studies graduate students at California State University, San Bernardino, one of 23 campuses that make up the largest public university system in the United States. WIIS-West sponsors networking mixers, speaking engagements, conference attendance and research presentations.
