Events
The 2007-2008 marks the 20th Anniversary of Women In International Security, and WIIS will host a series of public conversations on women’s leadership in these sectors throughout the year.
WIIS plans to host a gala event at the end of this year-long series to launch the Report Card project and celebrate women’s leadership in international security.
In a typical year, WIIS hosts more than 30 events which explore international security issues from a variety of perspectives: policy fora and conferences, career development workshops, annual career fair, and the Summer Symposium for Graduate Students in International Affairs.
Jobs Listserv
The Jobs Hotline & WIIS ENews, sent out biweekly via email to members, announces position openings, fellowships, and internships in foreign and defense policy and includes information on upcoming events.
Newsletter / Publications
WIIS Words newsletter is an essential link for members around the world. The periodical keeps readers up-to-date on the activities of WIIS, encourages the exchange of ideas, and highlights the achievements of women at all stages of their careers.

Mentoring Program
WIIS staff will link, on request, junior professionals in the WIIS network with senior women for one-on-one advice on research and career building.
Mentoring Circles
Beginning in October 2007, junior level WIIS members are invited to attend intimate, specialized career discussions with senior level women, who will share their substantive expertise and their insights about the challenges and opportunities for women in the field.
