Mentoring Program
WIIS facilitates mentoring relationships among its members and organizes Mentoring Events, including Mentoring Circles and On-Site Career Roundtables.
WIIS mentoring program is a useful and valuable networking tool that benefits WIIS members by connecting them with other women with similar interests in specific areas of security to discuss career advancement/transition opportunities.

Mentoring Circle
WIIS Mentoring Circles consist of a very small group of WIIS members meeting with a senior-level WIIS member to discuss her career path and share her advice.
Mentoring circles are generally organized in the evening, from 6pm to 8:30pm.

Mentoring one-on-one
The WIIS database serves as a social networking platform, which gives direct access for members to contact with one another based on their areas of expertise and interest.
WIIS encourages each mentee to contact potential mentors directly via the WIIS database by sending a short email with information on their background and the questions they would like to address with the mentor, along with a resume.
Mentoring one-on-one is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity which can be developed according to both the mentor’s and the mentee’s needs and preferences, utilizing email, phone, or personal meetings. However, a mentor should not be called upon to act as a job coach and actively assist the mentee in finding job or internship opportunities.

On-Site Career Panels
WIIS members are invited to attend intimate, specialized on-site career discussions with senior level women, who share their substantive expertise and their insights about the challenges and opportunities for women in the field in particular organizations and agencies.
